Sacramental Preparation Parental Involvement
Preparation for sacraments is a joint endeavor involving the parish and the parents, and includes both classroom instruction and parental sharing. The parish assists the parents in the faith-sharing process to help the children appreciate what they are about to celebrate. For each sacrament we require two parent sessions and one child session to aid in preparation and understanding of the sacrament.
First Reconciliation
This program introduces the children to the scriptural concepts of God’s unfailing love, mercy, sin and forgiveness. Parents are expected to attend all Sunday morning adult formation sessions. An additional parent meeting will be held on Sunday December 2, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. The children will meet on Tuesday March 19, 2019 from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the worship space. The families will then join with the rest of the Christ on the Mountain community at a communal celebration of Reconciliation which is scheduled for Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Children in 2nd – 6th grade can register for this program.
