Join us for Youth Group this Wed. Feb. 1, 2012 as we continue a videobased Bible study entitled Surrender. In these four challenging sessions, students share real-life stories about their own struggles and triumphs in surrendering to Christ. Francis Chan examines Scripture to show students that it is only through surrendering to God that they can become who God wants them to be. The second session is entitled “ Surrender Status.” We’ll meet from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the Joe Downs Memorial Hall.
• Senior High Break-Out Session on the 2nd Wed. of the month
Confirmation FYI—At Christ on the Mountain it is our practice to offer Confirmation classes every other year. Since we just celebrated the Sacrament with Bishop Conley in April we won’t offer Confirmation classes until the Fall of 2012. Those classes will be open to all 9-12 graders. Classes will meet weekly beginning in mid-Sept. 2012 and ending with the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation in the Spring of 2013. If you have any questions please call Mary Ann.
Service Opportunity
If you are in 7-12 grade and looking for a way to be of service to others consider joining us at Mount Saint Vincent (MSV). MSV provides a safe, nurturing environment for children with a wide range of emotional and behavioral problems. We will be visiting monthly to play games and do crafts with the residents. Each month we provide a snack for the children and staff. We are currently collecting 100% juice - juice boxes (we need 60 boxes each month). If you can help provide juice boxes or other snacks please call Mary Ann or Julie at the office. Our next scheduled visit will be Sun. Sept. 13 from 12:30 - 4:00 p.m.
